Who we are

ToteMove ("we," "us," or "our") is a moving tote and plastic box rental service based in Brampton, Ontario, Canada. We deliver reusable plastic moving bins and totes to customers across Peel Region, Halton Hills, and Dufferin County.

This privacy policy explains how we collect, use, and protect personal information you provide when using our website (totemove.ca) or booking a rental. It applies to all visitors and customers and is governed by Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

What information we collect

When you submit a booking request through our website, we collect:

• Home size and move date
• Rental length
• Delivery address
• Pickup address
• Who referred you (optional)
• Additional notes you choose to share

We do not collect payment information through our website. Payments are arranged separately at the time of booking confirmation.

Why we collect it

We use your personal information only to:

• Confirm and coordinate your rental booking
• Arrange delivery and pickup of your totes
• Contact you about your rental (scheduling, changes, follow-up)

We do not use your information for marketing without your explicit consent, and we do not sell or share it with third parties for advertising purposes.

How your information is processed

Booking requests submitted through our website are processed using Formspree, a third-party form processing service. Formspree transmits your submission to us securely and stores it temporarily on servers located in the United States. By submitting a booking request, you acknowledge that your information may be temporarily processed outside of Canada. Formspree's privacy policy is available at formspree.io/legal/privacy-policy.

How long we keep your information

We retain your personal information for as long as needed to fulfill your rental booking and for a reasonable period afterward for record-keeping purposes (typically 12 months). You may request deletion of your information at any time — see "Your rights" below.

How we protect your information

Our website is served over HTTPS with TLS encryption. We do not store your personal information in unsecured systems. Access to booking information is limited to ToteMove staff directly involved in fulfilling your rental.

Your rights under PIPEDA

You have the right to:

• Know what personal information we hold about you
• Request corrections to inaccurate information
• Request deletion of your personal information
• Withdraw consent for future use (subject to legal or contractual limitations)

Cookies and analytics

Our website uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, a privacy-first analytics tool that does not use cookies and does not track individual users across sites. We do not use Google Analytics or any third-party advertising trackers.

We may update this policy as our services grow. Changes will be posted at this URL with an updated date at the top. Continued use of the website after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
